Attack on Titan Sauna Cover Art (Male, Female Versions & More)

I finished watching Attack on Titan a couple of days ago.

While browsing Attack on Titan’s Reddit group I came across an art where AOT boys were sitting inside the sauna, sweating, half-naked, showing off their abs and muscular arms.

Looks like Isayama is promoting his idea of opening a sauna really hard!

Man has conquered the manga world, now he wants to build a sauna empire, lol!

On a serious note, my regular readers would be surprised to find a post on an anime of my sauna blog. But hey, I want to cover everything related to a sauna. That’s why I decided to compile all Attack on Titan sauna arts in one place. All the art in this post is official, except for the third which contains the female characters of the anime.

Hope you enjoy looking at our favorite lads chilling in the sauna as much as I and my wife (also an AOT fan) did, lol!

Bessatsu Shonen Magazine’s “Attack on Titan” Sauna Cover Art

I can’t read Japanese so I don’t know what’s written on the cover but did a bit of digging around and found that the cover was published in the Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in May 2020. The magazine contains post-time skip chapters (127 and 128) along with chapters from other mangas.

There are a ton of tidbits inside the magazine regarding the anime and luckily someone translated the text into English. You can read about it here.

Also, check out this clear picture of the boys chilling in the sauna. I found it on Google but it’s probably from the magazine.

Here’s the female version of the AOT sauna I found on Pinterest but I don’t think it’s official. It’s probably fanmade. The characters don’t look like they were drawn by Isayama. It’s not his style.

Side Note: Bessatsu Shonen Magazine is a monthly manga magazine published by Kodansha. It was first published in 1977 and has been running ever since. The magazine is aimed at teenage boys and features serialized manga from various genres, including action, comedy, sports, science fiction, and mystery.

Attack on Titan Sauna Art in Manga (Vol 33 & 34)

At the time of writing this, we are waiting for Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3. It is supposed to hit the small screen in 2023. But I couldn’t wait to know what happens next so I bought the two final mangas, i.e, volumes 33 and 34.

In the final few pages of volume 33, Isayama made an illustration of AOT characters inside a sauna, set in a modern alternate universe.

Check out the scanned pages below:

It’s strange seeing AOT characters in a modern setting and I’m not sure why they felt the need to include these in the manga. I understand when they collaborate with spa centers to promote an upcoming season but I’m not sure what is the point of this bonus illustration.

I don’t really read mangas so perhaps it’s common to draw the main characters in a different setting for fun. I don’t know! I heard image Isayama works on a tight schedule and to me, it seems that anyone working under the kind of pressure he does would not want to draw more than what he’s obligated to draw. Nonetheless, it’s a fun read.

Attack on Titan Spa in Japan

Back In 2020, Hajime Isayama was writing the final chapters of Attack on Titan and upon being asked what he wants to do next, he said his next project will be a dark comedy and that he wants to open a sauna.

The manga author had been using a sauna for a couple of years to deal with the stress of writing the world’s most popular manga series.

Looks like Isayama’s word got around and Japan’s popular Raku Spa launched an AOT-themed spa in Nagoya.

Some folks visited the sauna, recorded their experience, and published it on a YouTube video. Check out the video.

Conclusion

That’s it for this one folk! I hope you enjoyed this post. Before you leave, if you are in any way interested in a sauna experience, then do take a look around. You will find sauna reviews and answers to questions related to saunas.
